'87- Bayfield 32C - She's The "Gem of the Island"

Custom '87 Bayfield 32C with Assumable Moorage Just a Short Walk from The Ferry & Sea Planes-Dinghy & Outboard

This gorgeous boat has been continuously upgraded & meticulously maintained by her same owners & kept in freshwater for over 22 years! She is "Registered and Documented as a Canadian Sailing Vessel" & has her own passport to prove it.If you are looking for a very Safe, Rugged & comfortable sailboat in "Turn-Key" condition, with nothing to do but "Go Sailing"then this is the boat for you!She sails & tracks beautifully and is so well balanced, she actually sails herself, even when in heavy winds with her added 3rd reefpoint & only 15 degrees of heel - which comes in handy, especially if you're 1st mate is proned to sea-sickness or scares easily!  Also, because of her keel design, shape & configuration (By H.T.Gozzard of Gozzard Yachts), her rudder and propeller (customized by Campbell)are completely protected which will prevent disasters from happening like wrapping a line around your prop or having a deadhead jammed between the fin keel and rudder (a common occurance on fin keel vessels).  The construction os so tough that there's no need to worry should your rusty navigation skills end you up on a rock - she's so stoutly built and tough. Her customized bowsprit & added mast height makes her tough to catch with a hull speed well over 6 knots! And when under power of her 3 cyl. 27 hp. Yanmar Diesel Engine (many earlier models have only 2 cyl. 18 hp) and customized Campbell Propeller when you're running late and the tide has already turned against you & you need the extra power to get you thru!  The main living area has 6'+ standing headroom with the added feature of a custom "fold away" teak table that folds away or, when needed can fold out and seat 6 for dinner. The galley has another fold away teak table and makes a "U" shaped galley for added counterspace & had a gimballed oven by Origo (sweden) for added safety, Refrigeration/freezer pressure hot water & 2 heating systems to keep you warm or "hella low draw fans" & 8 opening & screened ports & hatches to keep you cool in the summer. All berths are 6'5"in length, sleep 6 comfortably & have added lit storage below, behind & above.  The engine room is so clean, ventilated & well lit, you could eat off the engine. The King-Sized V-berth w/large teak hanging locker & drawers w/storage above & below. She can be changed from a sloop to a cutter rig in minutes, and a full-keel with 3’9”draft-perfect for gunk-holing on the west coast, or going off-shore.

Everything can be done from the cockpit, even anchoring with its Lofrans “Tigres” 1200 Watt windlass that is used by many heavy duty boats up to 60 feet!  This boat has many upgrades that set it apart from any other Bayfield 32C you will ever see such as all thru-hulls changed to bronze ball-valves, 1”s/s solid hand railings, storage galore to name just a few.  It has all new boat canvas, refrigeration w/freezer, h&c pres. water, a dinghy & motor, dishes, Pots & Pans, towels, sheets, etc.- "just bring clothes!" Recent survey - in “Better than new, turn-key” condition - you will not believe her age!  The market value is listed as $93,000 and replacement value of $230,000. Asking only $54,900- Ph: 250-618-1403 Currently in NANAIMO, B.C. has assumable moorage with great view of Newcastle channel & Island - Just a short walk from Most Ferries & Sea Planes.
